Family Profile

Cotanas Family
On January 2007, I joined Mission Ministries Philippines (MMP).  It’s been 11 years now since I became full time urban poor missionary and church planter.  I have been grown deeper in my devotion as I obey the Lord.  I learn that serving the Lord and accomplishing His purpose is not an easy task.  It is uncomfortable, yet I need to heed to His call to serve the needy, oppressed, and the lost.  I worked In Operation Blessing Foundation as project coordinator in Water and Sanitation Project.  I served three years in the organization. After my employment in Operation Blessing, I tried to get employed for the next several months but I ended attending MMP’s training program (now Companion With Poor, Inc.  During my six months training, I felt the Lord’s leading to serve Him through the ministry.

Lourdes and I are blessed to have four healthy children:  Daniel is 20, Jemimah Eunice 16, Jeremiah Paul, 14 and Josiah 8 year old.   Lourdes is working as assistance administrator in our sending church.  In her extra time, she also helps our team in administering the children in the church planting project.

Currently, I am a team member of Sitio Katuwiran Church Planting Team in Brgy. San Rafael, Montalban, Rizal.  I am also privileged to be an elected Leaders Counsel member of Companion With The Poor (CWTP). Aside from my work as missionary/church planter i am as also teaching as Automotive Instructor in Sacred Gift Of God (SGG)Training Center. our students mostly coming from different church planting areas and nearly communities.  I am a civil engineer by profession.  Since I become involved as a full-time urban poor missionary, I no longer practice my profession.

My vision is to see changed-lives, empower individuals to follow Christ.  I want to accomplish this vision through my personal involvement in other people’s lives, in their needs and dreams.  I commit to give my time to the community as a servant of Christ
